These terms are an agreement between you and Rent Carroll ("we" or "us") about your use of this website. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

Listings

We describe our rentals in good faith, but rent, availability, features and photos can change and may contain mistakes. A listing isn't an offer to rent. Please confirm the details with us before you rely on them.

Applications

• Prequalification compares the income you enter with three times the listed monthly rent. It isn't an approval or a denial, and a person makes every rental decision.
• Submitting an application isn't a lease and doesn't hold a rental for you. Only a lease signed by you and by us creates a rental agreement.
• You agree to give true and complete information about yourself. We may verify it with the contacts you list.
• This website doesn't order credit or background reports. If we ever use one, we'll ask for your permission separately first.

Fair housing

We follow federal and Iowa fair housing laws and use the same process for every applicant. If you need help or a reasonable accommodation to apply, call us at (712) 775-2244.

New-listing emails

If you sign up, we'll send one email asking you to confirm, and after that only emails about new listings. Every one has an unsubscribe link.

Renters insurance

The renters insurance form sends your request to The Insurance Station, a separate local agency. Rent Carroll doesn't sell, quote or bind insurance, and buying or declining a policy has no effect on a rental application. The belongings calculator adds up what you enter. It isn't a quote.

Using the site fairly

Don't use this site in a way that breaks the law or harms anyone. In particular, don't:

• submit information that's false or that belongs to someone else;
• send automated or bulk submissions, or try to get around the bot check or the limits on how often a form can be sent;
• copy listings or other content from the site with scrapers, bots or similar tools;
• try to get into the staff area or any account you weren't given; or
• interfere with the site's security or how it runs.

Our content

The text, photos and design on this site belong to us or to the people who license them to us. You're welcome to view and share listing pages as part of your own rental search. Please don't copy them for any other purpose without our permission.

Other websites

Links to other websites are there for convenience. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for them.

No guarantees

We work to keep this site accurate and available, but we provide it as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses that come from using this site. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Iowa law

These terms are governed by Iowa law. Any dispute about them or about this site will be heard in the state courts in Carroll County, Iowa, or the federal court that covers it.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version posted here applies from then on.
